Airplane Deicer Fluid (ADF)

The wings of commercial aircraft are deiced during freezing conditions as a safety precaution. Airplane deicer fluids (ADF) containing propylene glycol (PG) are used for this purpose. These fluids have been implicated in eutrophication of natural water bodies. For this reasons airports have come under increasing pressure to regulate their discharge. The LiquIDtoc is perfectly suited for this work because it is a robust, low-maintenance device that can measure the concentration of PG in runoff in real time and send out a signal for diversion if a predetermined level is reached. Measurement of ADF with the LiquIDtoc is not dependent on the color of the ADF, which varies. Contact us
